CCSAC held its Annual General Meeting on June 25 at First Baptist Church. This year’s guest speaker, Shemi Adeoye, provided an excellent overview on Matthew House, which offers shelter, meals and support to refugee claimants arriving in Canada with no sponsors and nowhere to turn.   In addition, Dennis Hansen provided attendees with an update on work underway at the Centretown Community Food Centre which continues to experience high demand for food from many in the catchment area.  In closing, CCSAC Chair Kristine Burr thanked Rev. John Perkin and the congregation at First Baptist for hosting an excellent AGM and reception.
