The Walk for the Centre is Back!

Together in spirit – and still walking!

Donate Now

Our traditional in-person walk is returning in 2022. A virtual option will be available for those who wish to walk on their own, but we hope to welcome teams at City Hall for a traditional walk, rain or shine! Our route this year will be along Queen Elizabeth Drive pathway and the beautiful Rideau Canal. Plan to join us on October 2nd (1:30 to 4:00 pm). We will be walking together for food security in central Ottawa. As always, all donations will go to the Centretown Emergency Food Centre.

Thanks to all our donors, walkers and business sponsors for helping us raise over $37,000 in 2021 for the Centretown Emergency Food Centre as well as helping us highlight the food insecurity facing many people in central Ottawa.

We encourage you to register and fundraise online again this year. Our website ( allows you to sponsor an individual or a team, or sign up to walk.  More details below!

How do I or my sponsors get a tax receipt?2022-08-24T22:39:33-04:00

For online donations – CanadaHelps automatically issues a tax receipt.

For donations by cash or cheque – CCSAC, a registered charity, will issue charitable receipts for any donation of $20 or more.  Upon request, we will issue a charitable receipt for lesser amounts.  We will need your sponsor’s email or mailing address in order to send them a tax receipt, so make sure they fill in the Pledge Form.

A reminder that it is easiest to collect donations immediately from your sponsors when you sign them up, rather than trying to chase them down again after the walk.
